Narrative:

My aircraft, a widebody transport tracking ILS 9R on visual approach. Apparently an small transport was turned on ILS 8L and overshot almost to my position. He turned and went back to his localizer. His closest position was about my 11:45 and 1000' in front of me. To prevent this I think we should use different altitudes for turn on as we do in IFR conditions, or stagger the apches to at least 1 mi separation, i.e., 8L from 9R.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT AIRBORNE WHEN ACR-SMT OVERSHOT LOCALIZER ON TURN TO PARALLEL ILS APCH WITH ACR-WDB.

Narrative: MY ACFT, A WDB TRACKING ILS 9R ON VISUAL APCH. APPARENTLY AN SMT WAS TURNED ON ILS 8L AND OVERSHOT ALMOST TO MY POSITION. HE TURNED AND WENT BACK TO HIS LOC. HIS CLOSEST POSITION WAS ABOUT MY 11:45 AND 1000' IN FRONT OF ME. TO PREVENT THIS I THINK WE SHOULD USE DIFFERENT ALTS FOR TURN ON AS WE DO IN IFR CONDITIONS, OR STAGGER THE APCHES TO AT LEAST 1 MI SEPARATION, I.E., 8L FROM 9R.
