Narrative:
On climb out I noticed the right engine oil temperature was out of limits at 165 and rising. We completed the QRH; which called for an engine shutdown. The highest the temperature reached was 178 degrees. An uneventful [single engine] landing was made after declaring an emergency.

Title: A regional jet Captain reported high right engine oil temperature on climbout. QRH was run; engine shut down; an emergency declared; and the flight returned for a safe landing at departure airport.
