Narrative:
As part of construction for the new sector suites, workmen were relocating the cwsu (central WX service unit). They had built a new work area near the sectors and were finishing up by gluing carpet on the walls. All of us noticed a very strong glue odor and many of us developed headaches. As I sat on the sector, working traffic, and involuntarily breathing fumes, my vision began to blur. I started to feel light headed and could not concentrate. I advised my supervisor of this and he replied, 'I guess that's why I feel so good!', and walked off. I asked a co-worker for relief. He said the glue had not affected him beyond a headache and he assumed control of the sector. Later another controller admitted to me he had felt as I had, but told no one of authority. I later informed the area manager in charge and the af manager responsible for the construction. As far as I know, mine has been the only complaint to those of authority about this. I feel there was a serious danger here, but no one has given me a satisfactory reply.
