Narrative:
[I] picked up airplane after a completed annual. Firm had run down battery 2 during annual which had caused some loaded information in the right screen to be compromised. This caused left screen to malfunction. Later in flight it caused all navigation and communication to malfunction.

Title: M20 pilot reports departing on an IFR flight plan in VMC with one battery completely discharged. This caused some loaded information in the right screen to be compromised then the left screen malfunctioned. Later in flight it caused all navigation and communication to malfunction.
