Narrative:
We were scheduled to fly from phx to mci. We were on the third day of a 4-DAY trip, and were aware from the previous leg that our SID's and STAR's were no longer valid. A completed new set had gone into effect, and the company didn't have the change in our mailboxes before we began our sequence. We received clearance via the payso 4 departure as filed, and I informed clearance delivery that we only had the payso 3 on board. Clearance then gave me a full route clearance, including the entire SID. The SID portion was as follows: 'fly runway heading, maintain 3000'. At the srp 1 DME, turn left to 040 degrees to join the srp 030 degree right.' this is what I read back, but it was wrong on 2 counts. Runway heading is for 8L departures, but we departed on 8R and should have flown an 070 degree heading. Secondly, the 040 degree heading is not to join the srp 030 degree right, but is to be flown to expect vectors to the srp 030 degree right. We heard nothing about the first mistake (although some overzealous tempe residents may well have called the tower to complain!), but departure asked if we were flying the srp 030 degree right. We answered in the affirmative and were turned to a 050 degree heading instead. This entire mess could have been avoided by delaying the effective date of the new SID's and STAR's. I know we were not alone because I heard several other air carrier aircraft that morning explaining that they didn't have the new arrs and departures.

Title: FLT DEVIATED FROM SID ROUTING. CLRNC DELIVERY'S FULL READBACK OF SID ROUTING CONTAINED ERRORS. READBACK REQUIRED BECAUSE FLT DID NOT HAVE CURRENT SID CHART.
Narrative: WE WERE SCHEDULED TO FLY FROM PHX TO MCI. WE RECEIVED CLRNC VIA THE PAYSO 4 DEP AS FILED, AND I INFORMED CLRNC DELIVERY THAT WE ONLY HAD THE PAYSO 3 ON BOARD. CLRNC THEN GAVE ME A FULL ROUTE CLRNC, INCLUDING THE ENTIRE SID. THE SID PORTION WAS AS FOLLOWS: 'FLY RWY HDG, MAINTAIN 3000'. AT THE SRP 1 DME, TURN LEFT TO 040 DEGS TO JOIN THE SRP 030 DEG R.' THIS IS WHAT I READ BACK, BUT IT WAS WRONG ON 2 COUNTS. RWY HDG IS FOR 8L DEPS, BUT WE DEPARTED ON 8R AND SHOULD HAVE FLOWN AN 070 DEG HDG. SECONDLY, THE 040 DEG HDG IS NOT TO JOIN THE SRP 030 DEG R, BUT IS TO BE FLOWN TO EXPECT VECTORS TO THE SRP 030 DEG R. WE HEARD NOTHING ABOUT THE FIRST MISTAKE (ALTHOUGH SOME OVERZEALOUS TEMPE RESIDENTS MAY WELL HAVE CALLED THE TWR TO COMPLAIN!), BUT DEP ASKED IF WE WERE FLYING THE SRP 030 DEG R. WE ANSWERED IN THE AFFIRMATIVE AND WERE TURNED TO A 050 DEG HDG INSTEAD. THIS ENTIRE MESS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED BY DELAYING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE NEW SID'S AND STAR'S. I KNOW WE WERE NOT ALONE BECAUSE I HEARD SEVERAL OTHER ACR ACFT THAT MORNING EXPLAINING THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE NEW ARRS AND DEPS.
