Narrative:
Turning base for the visual approach to runway 28 at approximately 4;000 MSL we heard a very loud pop; almost like a balloon bursting. Approach and landing were uneventful. Post-flight inspection revealed bird remains above the center windshield. No damage was noted. Maintenance was notified and aircraft was cleared to continue.the event occurred because the bird didn't get out of our way.
