Descending from FL70 at 300 knots le slats asymmetry EICAS and leading edge light with the flap handle in the up position. Proceed to hold; declared an emergency; did the QRH procedures; landing distance chart and landed with no slats and flaps 30. Because it was during the approach dispatch was not contacted until we checked in at the hotel.
