Narrative:
While on prescribed track to hyannis in moncton center airspace at FL390, (in VFR conditions) we were asked to offset 10 mi to the right for spacing due to company traffic. We programmed FMS accordingly and autoplt commenced turn to the right. We noticed that aircraft appeared to be going beyond 10 mi offset according to parallel track indications on CRT and commenced a turn to parallel original track at what appeared to be 10 mi. At this time moncton center who had us on radar began giving various heading commands which we followed, finally moncton advised 'descend to FL370 immediately.' which we acknowledged and accomplished. We advised center that our IRS navigation appeared to malfunction on the original offset. After being handed off to bos, we were advised by bos that moncton 'was filing paperwork on the incident.' I can only say that we never saw the other aircraft, there was no near miss and moncton was not at all helpful but appeared to be irritated that we were not following their directions fast enough. Moncton appears to work against you instead of with you. I understand this isn't the first time.

Title: ACR WDB DEVIATED FROM CLRNC ROUTE. DID NOT MAINTAIN 10 NM OFFSET OFF TRAFFIC SEPARATION AS CLEARED.
Narrative: WHILE ON PRESCRIBED TRACK TO HYANNIS IN MONCTON CENTER AIRSPACE AT FL390, (IN VFR CONDITIONS) WE WERE ASKED TO OFFSET 10 MI TO THE RIGHT FOR SPACING DUE TO COMPANY TFC. WE PROGRAMMED FMS ACCORDINGLY AND AUTOPLT COMMENCED TURN TO THE RIGHT. WE NOTICED THAT ACFT APPEARED TO BE GOING BEYOND 10 MI OFFSET ACCORDING TO PARALLEL TRACK INDICATIONS ON CRT AND COMMENCED A TURN TO PARALLEL ORIGINAL TRACK AT WHAT APPEARED TO BE 10 MI. AT THIS TIME MONCTON CENTER WHO HAD US ON RADAR BEGAN GIVING VARIOUS HDG COMMANDS WHICH WE FOLLOWED, FINALLY MONCTON ADVISED 'DSND TO FL370 IMMEDIATELY.' WHICH WE ACKNOWLEDGED AND ACCOMPLISHED. WE ADVISED CENTER THAT OUR IRS NAV APPEARED TO MALFUNCTION ON THE ORIGINAL OFFSET. AFTER BEING HANDED OFF TO BOS, WE WERE ADVISED BY BOS THAT MONCTON 'WAS FILING PAPERWORK ON THE INCIDENT.' I CAN ONLY SAY THAT WE NEVER SAW THE OTHER ACFT, THERE WAS NO NEAR MISS AND MONCTON WAS NOT AT ALL HELPFUL BUT APPEARED TO BE IRRITATED THAT WE WERE NOT FOLLOWING THEIR DIRECTIONS FAST ENOUGH. MONCTON APPEARS TO WORK AGAINST YOU INSTEAD OF WITH YOU. I UNDERSTAND THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME.
