Narrative:

The event consisted of a gear up landing at the 307 on 3/89. The WX was clear with winds light and variable. The aircraft was an small aircraft. I normally actuate the gear when I turn downwind, however this time I actuated the flaps and became preoccupied with locating other traffic in the pattern. Thinking I had the gear down, I neglected to check the gear indicator on final. Contributing factors: I was wearing a headset and did not hear the gear warning horn. Human performance: there is no forgiveness for failure to complete the landing check.
