Narrative:
Departed very busy montgomery field VFR for psp after 2 practice ILS approachs. Departure control would not provide advisories. While trying to get a TCA clearance we skimmed the air traffic area of gillespie field. We were so busy dodging 3 other aircraft, terrain, trying to get a word in edgewise with departure control, we got too close. It looked like five statute mi to gillespie, but radar controller told us were only 3 mi. It was as dense air traffic as I've ever seen!! Solution: ban VFR flts in southern california, impeach all politicians for not spending the trust fund to hire more ATC help.

Title: WHILE ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN CLRNC INTO THE TCA REPORTER ACFT INADVERTENTLY ENTERED AN ATA.
Narrative: DEPARTED VERY BUSY MONTGOMERY FIELD VFR FOR PSP AFTER 2 PRACTICE ILS APCHS. DEP CTL WOULD NOT PROVIDE ADVISORIES. WHILE TRYING TO GET A TCA CLRNC WE SKIMMED THE ATA OF GILLESPIE FIELD. WE WERE SO BUSY DODGING 3 OTHER ACFT, TERRAIN, TRYING TO GET A WORD IN EDGEWISE WITH DEP CTL, WE GOT TOO CLOSE. IT LOOKED LIKE FIVE STATUTE MI TO GILLESPIE, BUT RADAR CTLR TOLD US WERE ONLY 3 MI. IT WAS AS DENSE AIR TFC AS I'VE EVER SEEN!! SOLUTION: BAN VFR FLTS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, IMPEACH ALL POLITICIANS FOR NOT SPENDING THE TRUST FUND TO HIRE MORE ATC HELP.
