Narrative:
During climb, hydro light illuminated requiring return to abi airport and successful landing but 97 pounds after maximum landing weight. Decision was made to land over maximum heading weight to prevent possible fire caused by possible pump overheat. Tower was not open at time of problem. Supplemental information from acn 106537: visual inspection of gear by mechanic found no problem, and signed off. We found it necessary to land as soon as possible as printed in our emergency procedures.
