Narrative:
There is a continuous problem with los angeles center frequency 132.5 between pmd and dag. The squelch does not close on the radio when left.a. Center has completed transmitting. This has been a problem for years. The center controller; when I questioned him last month; said this was an ongoing problem for the last 10 years he has been a controller. I switched the radios on my aircraft and the problem continues. I have to trip the mic button to get the squelch to close. Can't something be done with this recognized problem?
