Narrative:

We were on a short cross country flight during which we were practicing commercial training maneuvers and procedures. At one point my instructor told me to shut down the right engine; which I did; but when she told me to restart it the engine wouldn't restart. At that point we had unsuccessfully attempted all the restart procedures we shut it down and secured it. We then called approach and asked for priority handling to a nearby airport where we made a single engine landing.
