Narrative:
Sometime between 4/sat and 4/sun/89 aircraft (an medium large transport) experienced a tail strike on takeoff or landing. 25 different flight crews flew the aircraft during that period. I flew that aircraft on 4/fri/89 for 3 legs on trip and experienced no tail strikes during that period. Analyst comments: over 23 reports were received on the tail damage to this aircraft. All reports indicate that no one was willing to accept the blame for the damage to the aircraft. Many locations were mentioned, such as pit, bdl, sfo, sea, lax, phl, etc. See the synopsis of this report for the applicable acn #'south for companion reports.
