Narrative:
I went on a solo flight in a PA-28-161. After checking the weather and getting a briefing from my flight instructor I preflight the plane and taxied to runway xx. After completing my runup and pre takeoff checklist items I departed and made left traffic for runway yy as instructed by the tower. I was cleared for a touch and go and I made my approach at 80 knots and with 10 degrees of flaps. I landed the plane nose wheel first and the plane bounced. After that the plane began to porpoise and I eventually lost control; after which the plane went off the runway and settled nose down in the grass. I had a small scrape on my elbow but I was otherwise unharmed. Afterwards I briefed by instructor on what had happened and he gave me advice on how to prevent anything similar from happening in the future.
