Narrative:
Descending on the arrival we noticed a small amount of smoke coming from the first officer's windshield heat terminal. We donned the oxygen masks and established communications with each other. I turned the windshield heat off immediately and the small amount of smoking stopped simultaneously. No further indications there was an overheating situation (terminal was not hot; no smoke or odor existed). The entire event lasted no longer than 5 seconds.
