Narrative:
Enroute at night under goggles with landing light on a bird struck the nose and entered the cabin through the hole. It broke the nose in between the windshield and chin bubble. We were about seven miles south of the base so we returned to the base without further incident.

Title: The pilot of a Eurocopter elected to return to base following a bird strike that resulted in a fractured nose between the windshield and chin bubble.
Narrative: Enroute at night under goggles with landing light on a bird struck the nose and entered the cabin through the hole. It broke the nose in between the windshield and chin bubble. We were about seven miles south of the base so we returned to the base without further incident.
