Narrative:
At 1000' MSL pressurizing aircraft door 2L light came on annunciator panel indicating unlocked door. Verified with F/a; she confirmed when aircraft pressurized door handle moved up 4-5'. I went downstairs and moved people away from door and then tried to close handle. Handle reacted like spring and returned to up/unlocked position. Decision made to cruise to dtw at 10000' unpressurized. Starting descent 30 mi northwest dtw a loud noise was heard in cockpit. F/a's called and said door had come open (door 2L). Inspection revealed that the door had come open 4-5' (the position of the door before being turned and pushed through the opening). Cabin extremely noisy with debris blowing through the cabin. Returning to the cockpit the captain had the airplane through 5000' on descent. The emergency equipment was requested to be standing by. The landing was uneventful. Taxiing in the F/a's called saying we had a medical emergency. A woman, who 2 weeks prior had had a heart operation, was having trouble breathing. Medics met the airplane. The aircraft was supposed to continue on to nrt, but maintenance worked the door problem. Guess who got to fly it back to msp? Maintenance signed the door off as being 100%. There I was--again--takeoff--pressurize at 1000' didn't get door 2L light. Instead mechanic (that worked door) came running into cockpit telling me that door handle had moved 5' up when I pressurized. Same story, different tune. Continued to msp at 10000' pressurized. Mechanic used the demonstration seat belt to lock door 2L handle in closed position--rest of flight uneventful.

Title: PASSENGER DOOR LOWER DECK OPEN LIGHT CAME ON WHEN ACFT PRESSURIZED AT 1000'. DECISION TO CONTINUE TO DESTINATION UNPRESSURIZED AT 10000'. ON DESCENT DOOR CAME OPEN TO FIRST LATCH. PEOPLE MOVED AWAY FROM DOOR, EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT STANDING BY. NO INCIDENT. REPEAT OF DOOR UNLOCKED LIGHT NEXT FLT.
Narrative: AT 1000' MSL PRESSURIZING ACFT DOOR 2L LIGHT CAME ON ANNUNCIATOR PANEL INDICATING UNLOCKED DOOR. VERIFIED WITH F/A; SHE CONFIRMED WHEN ACFT PRESSURIZED DOOR HANDLE MOVED UP 4-5'. I WENT DOWNSTAIRS AND MOVED PEOPLE AWAY FROM DOOR AND THEN TRIED TO CLOSE HANDLE. HANDLE REACTED LIKE SPRING AND RETURNED TO UP/UNLOCKED POS. DECISION MADE TO CRUISE TO DTW AT 10000' UNPRESSURIZED. INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE DOOR HAD COME OPEN 4-5' (THE POS OF THE DOOR BEFORE BEING TURNED AND PUSHED THROUGH THE OPENING). CABIN EXTREMELY NOISY WITH DEBRIS BLOWING THROUGH THE CABIN. RETURNING TO THE COCKPIT THE CAPT HAD THE AIRPLANE THROUGH 5000' ON DSCNT. THE EMER EQUIP WAS REQUESTED TO BE STANDING BY. THE LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL. TAXIING IN THE F/A'S CALLED SAYING WE HAD A MEDICAL EMER. A WOMAN, WHO 2 WKS PRIOR HAD HAD A HEART OPERATION, WAS HAVING TROUBLE BREATHING. MEDICS MET THE AIRPLANE. THE ACFT WAS SUPPOSED TO CONTINUE ON TO NRT, BUT MAINT WORKED THE DOOR PROB. GUESS WHO GOT TO FLY IT BACK TO MSP? MAINT SIGNED THE DOOR OFF AS BEING 100%. THERE I WAS--AGAIN--TKOF--PRESSURIZE AT 1000' DIDN'T GET DOOR 2L LIGHT. INSTEAD MECH (THAT WORKED DOOR) CAME RUNNING INTO COCKPIT TELLING ME THAT DOOR HANDLE HAD MOVED 5' UP WHEN I PRESSURIZED. SAME STORY, DIFFERENT TUNE. CONTINUED TO MSP AT 10000' PRESSURIZED. MECH USED THE DEMO SEAT BELT TO LOCK DOOR 2L HANDLE IN CLOSED POS--REST OF FLT UNEVENTFUL.
