Narrative:
At about XX16Z (XX16 local) air carrier cleared runway 20R at taxiway bravo 2A. My instructions were, 'air carrier X, turn left, cross runway 31, enter the ramp at tango 4.' air carrier X replied the same, and started his taxi. My attention was drawn to another aircraft and veh. Then at the same time that the air carrier called, the local controller said I'm landing runway 20L, the air carrier had penetrated the clear zone for runway 20L arrs. By the time I had turned and looked, the small transport had flown in front of the air carrier and the situation had already happened. Supplemental information from acn 109826: my aircraft was taxiing to gate at bna, crossing runway 31 on taxiway C7 and L3 to enter the ramp at taxiway T4. An small transport on a low final approach passed approximately 50' or less over my cockpit while landing on runway 20L. Noticing his approach with only 1 engine running, I was unable to evade his flight path and had to aggressively brake the aircraft to a stop as he passed overhead. I asked the tower if he had seen the other aircraft and he said that he though I would be on taxiway bravo. A near miss report was filed with the FAA.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: WHILE AN ACR WAS TAXIING ACROSS A RWY TO THE GATE AREA, AN SMT ON SHORT FINAL FOR ANOTHER RWY PASSED WITHIN 50'.
Narrative: AT ABOUT XX16Z (XX16 LCL) ACR CLRED RWY 20R AT TXWY BRAVO 2A. MY INSTRUCTIONS WERE, 'ACR X, TURN LEFT, CROSS RWY 31, ENTER THE RAMP AT TANGO 4.' ACR X REPLIED THE SAME, AND STARTED HIS TAXI. MY ATTN WAS DRAWN TO ANOTHER ACFT AND VEH. THEN AT THE SAME TIME THAT THE ACR CALLED, THE LCL CTLR SAID I'M LNDG RWY 20L, THE ACR HAD PENETRATED THE CLEAR ZONE FOR RWY 20L ARRS. BY THE TIME I HAD TURNED AND LOOKED, THE SMT HAD FLOWN IN FRONT OF THE ACR AND THE SITUATION HAD ALREADY HAPPENED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 109826: MY ACFT WAS TAXIING TO GATE AT BNA, XING RWY 31 ON TXWY C7 AND L3 TO ENTER THE RAMP AT TXWY T4. AN SMT ON A LOW FINAL APCH PASSED APPROX 50' OR LESS OVER MY COCKPIT WHILE LNDG ON RWY 20L. NOTICING HIS APCH WITH ONLY 1 ENG RUNNING, I WAS UNABLE TO EVADE HIS FLT PATH AND HAD TO AGGRESSIVELY BRAKE THE ACFT TO A STOP AS HE PASSED OVERHEAD. I ASKED THE TWR IF HE HAD SEEN THE OTHER ACFT AND HE SAID THAT HE THOUGH I WOULD BE ON TXWY BRAVO. A NEAR MISS RPT WAS FILED WITH THE FAA.
