Narrative:
While taxiing into a parking place the small aircraft I was in caught a luggage rack atop a van. Minor damage was seen on the right wing of the small aircraft and no damage was given to the van. At the time of the occurrence there had been confusion in understanding where ground control at cgx had wanted me to park. After making this clear to me I was instructed down the far west side of the ramp to a parking position between the field tower and fire station. The ramp was congested with aircraft on my left side and that was where I was looking when my right wing tip caught a luggage rack atop a van parked on the ramp. In front of the van was parked off the ramp the snow removal equipment for the field. The van was owned by an employee of the fire crew. There were 2 other vehicles also parked on the ramp next to and on the far side of the van. After my collision with the van all vehicles were moved to an employee parking lot. The only paperwork on file is a police personal property damage report where they jotted down my driver's license #, 'for their records.' damage to my small aircraft was under $300 and the aircraft was inspected by myself and others and we determined the minor dent, etc, was of no danger to a return flight.
