In cruise flight did not position fuel petcock properly. Landed with 11 gallons of fuel in wing tank. Plane was restarted and flown back to the airport.

Title: A Piper Cub pilot; thinking he was out of gas; landed and determined there were still 11 gallons aboard in a wing tank.
