Narrative:
Aircraft developed a major oil leak [that] covered the windshield; [causing] no forward visibility. [I] declared an emergency with the tower; landed; and departed the runway in the grass to the left of the runway. [There was] no damage to the plane or airport or pilot. [I] talked to the FAA FSDO who advised to remove the plane from the grass and give him a call as to what caused the oil leak.
Original NASA ASRS Text
