Narrative:

First officer (me) was flying aircraft. At approximately gear up on takeoff from runway 01R at sfo, captain indicated we were heading toward another aircraft that had just taken off on runway 01L. Captain took control of the aircraft and smoothly banked to the right to avoid the other aircraft (a high wing commuter type). During the maneuver, the tower directed the other aircraft to 'turn left.' after established in climb, the F/a's were asked if they had felt the turn or if any passenger had said anything. Neither passenger nor F/a's noticed anything unusual. I did not see the other until we were well clear with wings level. It was then 10 O'clock low and well clear. I feel the sfo 3 departure procedure should designate when the turn to 030 degrees should be made (DME?) when departing on runway 01. Right now it says turn to 030 degrees for both runways. Turn rates, airspds, aircraft physical size, climb rates, coupled with pilot's discretion can routinely produce an irregular flight path when executing the departure as it is now published. Further, it seems unsafe to me to have a 01L takeoff turn right to 030 degrees, directly across the flight path of anyone taking off on 01R.

Title: MLT TYPE ACFT TAKING OFF SFO RWY 01R MADE CLIMBING TURN TO AVOID ANOTHER SMT ACFT THAT HAD JUST PREVIOUSLY TAKEN OFF ON 01L AND WAS TURNING IN FRONT OF MLG ACFT.

Narrative: F/O (ME) WAS FLYING ACFT. AT APPROX GEAR UP ON TKOF FROM RWY 01R AT SFO, CAPT INDICATED WE WERE HEADING TOWARD ANOTHER ACFT THAT HAD JUST TAKEN OFF ON RWY 01L. CAPT TOOK CTL OF THE ACFT AND SMOOTHLY BANKED TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID THE OTHER ACFT (A HIGH WING COMMUTER TYPE). DURING THE MANEUVER, THE TWR DIRECTED THE OTHER ACFT TO 'TURN LEFT.' AFTER ESTABLISHED IN CLB, THE F/A'S WERE ASKED IF THEY HAD FELT THE TURN OR IF ANY PAX HAD SAID ANYTHING. NEITHER PAX NOR F/A'S NOTICED ANYTHING UNUSUAL. I DID NOT SEE THE OTHER UNTIL WE WERE WELL CLR WITH WINGS LEVEL. IT WAS THEN 10 O'CLOCK LOW AND WELL CLEAR. I FEEL THE SFO 3 DEP PROC SHOULD DESIGNATE WHEN THE TURN TO 030 DEGS SHOULD BE MADE (DME?) WHEN DEPARTING ON RWY 01. RIGHT NOW IT SAYS TURN TO 030 DEGS FOR BOTH RWYS. TURN RATES, AIRSPDS, ACFT PHYSICAL SIZE, CLB RATES, COUPLED WITH PLT'S DISCRETION CAN ROUTINELY PRODUCE AN IRREGULAR FLT PATH WHEN EXECUTING THE DEP AS IT IS NOW PUBLISHED. FURTHER, IT SEEMS UNSAFE TO ME TO HAVE A 01L TKOF TURN RIGHT TO 030 DEGS, DIRECTLY ACROSS THE FLT PATH OF ANYONE TAKING OFF ON 01R.
