Narrative:
We were cleared for takeoff on runway 18 at msn while on parallel taxiway. Turning corner to take active we sighted aircraft lights turning toward the field from the northeast. Estimated distance was 3-5 mi. I questioned the tower and he confirmed we were still cleared for takeoff. Just after starting takeoff roll, the tower gave go around instructions to the approaching aircraft and said something about a right turn, or right traffic. At approximately 600-700', just as we started a turn to assigned heading of 140 degrees, the copilot and I sighted an medium large transport pass overhead and slightly right at approximately 200' vertical. I called this to tower and he said, 'sorry about that--he didn't start right turn soon enough.' I called msn tower when landing O'hare. The tower operator was not available so I talked to the radar controller. Apparently the tower was working multiple positions. I indicated I was filing report. Supplemental information from acn 111632: the first officer was making the takeoff and was alerted to the fact that a go around aircraft was in the area and he was very sensitive about keeping a sharp look out for that aircraft just in case he was directly overhead. At 600-700' the first officer saw the go around aircraft pass overhead and slightly right. At this point the captain reported this situation to msn tower and they said something about the fact that the go around aircraft had delayed turning during the go around for a right traffic pattern reentry. I was at the second officer position and when my attention was called to the go around aircraft it appeared to be 200+' overhead and turning to the right.

Title: AN ACFT MAKING A GO AROUND CAME IN CLOSE PROX TO A DEPARTING ACR.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 18 AT MSN WHILE ON PARALLEL TXWY. TURNING CORNER TO TAKE ACTIVE WE SIGHTED ACFT LIGHTS TURNING TOWARD THE FIELD FROM THE NE. ESTIMATED DISTANCE WAS 3-5 MI. I QUESTIONED THE TWR AND HE CONFIRMED WE WERE STILL CLRED FOR TKOF. JUST AFTER STARTING TKOF ROLL, THE TWR GAVE GO AROUND INSTRUCTIONS TO THE APCHING ACFT AND SAID SOMETHING ABOUT A RIGHT TURN, OR RIGHT TFC. AT APPROX 600-700', JUST AS WE STARTED A TURN TO ASSIGNED HDG OF 140 DEGS, THE COPLT AND I SIGHTED AN MLG PASS OVERHEAD AND SLIGHTLY RIGHT AT APPROX 200' VERT. I CALLED THIS TO TWR AND HE SAID, 'SORRY ABOUT THAT--HE DIDN'T START RIGHT TURN SOON ENOUGH.' I CALLED MSN TWR WHEN LNDG O'HARE. THE TWR OPERATOR WAS NOT AVAILABLE SO I TALKED TO THE RADAR CTLR. APPARENTLY THE TWR WAS WORKING MULTIPLE POSITIONS. I INDICATED I WAS FILING RPT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 111632: THE F/O WAS MAKING THE TKOF AND WAS ALERTED TO THE FACT THAT A GO AROUND ACFT WAS IN THE AREA AND HE WAS VERY SENSITIVE ABOUT KEEPING A SHARP LOOK OUT FOR THAT ACFT JUST IN CASE HE WAS DIRECTLY OVERHEAD. AT 600-700' THE F/O SAW THE GO AROUND ACFT PASS OVERHEAD AND SLIGHTLY RIGHT. AT THIS POINT THE CAPT RPTED THIS SITUATION TO MSN TWR AND THEY SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE GO AROUND ACFT HAD DELAYED TURNING DURING THE GO AROUND FOR A RIGHT TFC PATTERN REENTRY. I WAS AT THE S/O POS AND WHEN MY ATTN WAS CALLED TO THE GO AROUND ACFT IT APPEARED TO BE 200+' OVERHEAD AND TURNING TO THE RIGHT.
