Narrative:
Poor preflight action by myself and the student failed to recognize that ded forbids touch and go operations indefinitely per southeast AFD. We proceeded to ded and performed a touch and go at the uncontrolled field. Someone at unicom at the field informed us on upwind that touch and go's were forbidden and said that he told us on short final. We did not hear that call. Corrective actions: no more touch and go's will be performed at ded by this pilot. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter states he has received no follow up from FAA. Indicated upon questioning that flight school does not provide airport facility directory. When asked how he teaches preparation for x-country planning, he did indicate students sometimes buy airport facility directory and always request NOTAMS from FSS. Feels he certainly learned from this mistake.

Title: INSTRUCTOR AND STUDENT ON TRAINING FLT DID TOUCH AND GO AT UNCONTROLLED ARPT. UNICOM OPERATOR INFORMED THAT TOUCH AND GO NOT ALLOWED AT THAT ARPT, AND HAD SO INFORMED ACFT ON FINAL APCH. INFORMATION IS IN ARPT FAC DIRECTORY.
Narrative: POOR PREFLT ACTION BY MYSELF AND THE STUDENT FAILED TO RECOGNIZE THAT DED FORBIDS TOUCH AND GO OPS INDEFINITELY PER SE AFD. CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: NO MORE TOUCH AND GO'S WILL BE PERFORMED AT DED BY THIS PLT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR STATES HE HAS RECEIVED NO FOLLOW UP FROM FAA. INDICATED UPON QUESTIONING THAT FLT SCHOOL DOES NOT PROVIDE ARPT FAC DIRECTORY. WHEN ASKED HOW HE TEACHES PREPARATION FOR X-COUNTRY PLANNING, HE DID INDICATE STUDENTS SOMETIMES BUY ARPT FAC DIRECTORY AND ALWAYS REQUEST NOTAMS FROM FSS. FEELS HE CERTAINLY LEARNED FROM THIS MISTAKE.
