Narrative:
Throttle linkage came loose causing RPM drop resulting in loss of partial power. Pilot detected loss of altitude such as would prevent continuance to the next airport and elected to land in an open unoccupied field. There was no damage to the aircraft or property on the ground. There were no injuries.

Title: GA SMA OFF ARPT FORCED LNDG DUE THROTTLE LINKAGE FAILURE.
Narrative: THROTTLE LINKAGE CAME LOOSE CAUSING RPM DROP RESULTING IN LOSS OF PARTIAL POWER. PLT DETECTED LOSS OF ALT SUCH AS WOULD PREVENT CONTINUANCE TO THE NEXT ARPT AND ELECTED TO LAND IN AN OPEN UNOCCUPIED FIELD. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE ACFT OR PROPERTY ON THE GND. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
