Narrative:
Over smo we were cleared for a visual to 24R copilot was flying and we were in close at 6000'. We widened our base leg in order to get down and controller said we were lined up on 25R. As we were correcting over to 24R, the base leg was too wide and carried us over to 25R centerline. Visibility was obscured on 24L & right side of airport.
