Narrative:
Confusion between air carrier X flight xab and air carrier Y flight xab, both descending into cle hopkins. In our opinion controller neglected to specify carrier identity which resulted in confusion on clearance, clearance limits, altitudes, and headings.

Title: ACR MLG FLT CREW COMPLAINT ABOUT CTLRS IN THE CLE AREA NOT USING COMPANY NAME WHEN ISSUING CLRNCS.
Narrative: CONFUSION BETWEEN ACR X FLT XAB AND ACR Y FLT XAB, BOTH DESCENDING INTO CLE HOPKINS. IN OUR OPINION CTLR NEGLECTED TO SPECIFY CARRIER IDENTITY WHICH RESULTED IN CONFUSION ON CLRNC, CLRNC LIMITS, ALTS, AND HDGS.
