Narrative:
After being cleared for takeoff by tower I moved the throttles forward and immediately received a takeoff warning horn. As the takeoff trim setting was near the full aft limit, I moved it forward slightly thinking the limit may have been exceeded. I again moved the throttles forward and again got the takeoff warning horn. At this time I elected to exit the runway about 1000' down, as I could not turn off where I entered as there were other aircraft awaiting takeoff clearance. After exiting the runway I discovered the flap position circuit breaker (directly behind the first officer's head) and open. I reset the breaker, repeated the takeoff checklist and took off uneventfully. I suspect that upon completion of the previous leg, the first officer released his shoulder straps, and they sprung back and opened the circuit breaker.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLT CREW HEARS TKOF WARNING HORN WHEN POWER LEVERS ARE ADVANCED, AND ABORTS TKOF.
Narrative: AFTER BEING CLRED FOR TKOF BY TWR I MOVED THE THROTTLES FORWARD AND IMMEDIATELY RECEIVED A TKOF WARNING HORN. AS THE TKOF TRIM SETTING WAS NEAR THE FULL AFT LIMIT, I MOVED IT FORWARD SLIGHTLY THINKING THE LIMIT MAY HAVE BEEN EXCEEDED. I AGAIN MOVED THE THROTTLES FORWARD AND AGAIN GOT THE TKOF WARNING HORN. AT THIS TIME I ELECTED TO EXIT THE RWY ABOUT 1000' DOWN, AS I COULD NOT TURN OFF WHERE I ENTERED AS THERE WERE OTHER ACFT AWAITING TKOF CLRNC. AFTER EXITING THE RWY I DISCOVERED THE FLAP POSITION CIRCUIT BREAKER (DIRECTLY BEHIND THE F/O'S HEAD) AND OPEN. I RESET THE BREAKER, REPEATED THE TKOF CHECKLIST AND TOOK OFF UNEVENTFULLY. I SUSPECT THAT UPON COMPLETION OF THE PREVIOUS LEG, THE F/O RELEASED HIS SHOULDER STRAPS, AND THEY SPRUNG BACK AND OPENED THE CIRCUIT BREAKER.
