Narrative:
The aircraft was being hovered at 5' AGL at which time I heard a snap, followed by a sudden yaw to the left. At this point I landed and shut down the aircraft.

Title: LIGHT HELICOPTER EXPERIENCES LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL IN HOVER, MAKES FORCED LNDG WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
Narrative: THE ACFT WAS BEING HOVERED AT 5' AGL AT WHICH TIME I HEARD A SNAP, FOLLOWED BY A SUDDEN YAW TO THE LEFT. AT THIS POINT I LANDED AND SHUT DOWN THE ACFT.
