Narrative:
Due to maximum gross weight takeoff had to EST a 'no bleeds condition' for act performance. While taxiing we had a 10-15 min delay due to animal blocking our route to the runway. After takeoff, we overlooked reestablishing our pressurization system for a 'no bleeds condition'. After reaching cruise altitude FL310, we received 'cabin altitude warning horning' (cabin 10000). After a minute or so we confirmed both the cabin altitude at 10000 ft and that pressurization panel had not been reconfigured. We immediately asked for a lower altitude, reconfigured the pressurization panel. We were cleared to FL240, FL190 and asked if we needed lower (FL110 was given). At FL190 the cabin had reestablished itself, as we passed thru FL190, the controller asked if we were given lower and if we still needed FL110. We believed to be cleared to FL110, but after restoring the pressurization we not longer needed FL110. At FL184 we stopped the descent and ascended back to FL190 and continued flight to destination.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: DESCENT FROM CRUISE ALT BECAUSE OF INSUFFICIENT CABIN PRESSURIZATION RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE CABIN ALT. SYSTEM RESET.
Narrative: DUE TO MAX GROSS WT TKOF HAD TO EST A 'NO BLEEDS CONDITION' FOR ACT PERFORMANCE. WHILE TAXIING WE HAD A 10-15 MIN DELAY DUE TO ANIMAL BLOCKING OUR RTE TO THE RWY. AFTER TKOF, WE OVERLOOKED REESTABLISHING OUR PRESSURIZATION SYS FOR A 'NO BLEEDS CONDITION'. AFTER REACHING CRUISE ALT FL310, WE RECEIVED 'CABIN ALT WARNING HORNING' (CABIN 10000). AFTER A MINUTE OR SO WE CONFIRMED BOTH THE CABIN ALT AT 10000 FT AND THAT PRESSURIZATION PANEL HAD NOT BEEN RECONFIGURED. WE IMMEDIATELY ASKED FOR A LOWER ALT, RECONFIGURED THE PRESSURIZATION PANEL. WE WERE CLRED TO FL240, FL190 AND ASKED IF WE NEEDED LOWER (FL110 WAS GIVEN). AT FL190 THE CABIN HAD REESTABLISHED ITSELF, AS WE PASSED THRU FL190, THE CTLR ASKED IF WE WERE GIVEN LOWER AND IF WE STILL NEEDED FL110. WE BELIEVED TO BE CLRED TO FL110, BUT AFTER RESTORING THE PRESSURIZATION WE NOT LONGER NEEDED FL110. AT FL184 WE STOPPED THE DSCNT AND ASCENDED BACK TO FL190 AND CONTINUED FLT TO DEST.
