Narrative:
We had been cleared VFR direct to hut VOR by hut approach, when we flew through a group of 3 gliders who were operating in the hut air traffic area without being in radio contact with hut tower or approach. The gliders operate off of a closed airport 8 NM south of the VOR. They should be in radio contact with approach if they intend to fly through the air traffic area.
