Narrative:
On jun/fri/89, small transport departed griffith airport (05C). Within 1 minute after takeoff at 1500' MSL a loss of manifold pressure was noted on left engine, along with alternator failure light. Aircraft made a normal landing to inspect cause of problem. The engine cowl was removed to reveal turbo overboard clamp failure that caused fire damage to aircraft wires and engine accessories in close proximity.
