Narrative:
We were level at 6;000 southbound; with a pilatus northbound at 5;000 on TCAS; pointed out and verified verbally by center. With the pilatus in close proximity; we received a TCAS RA with the target showing +03 in right windscreen in layered IMC. The RA was there no more than about three seconds. It commanded a descent into the pilatus so; while we hesitated to respond; it went away. We confirmed with miami center there were no other aircraft in our vicinity except for the pilatus. The TCAS RA command would have had us descend into the pilatus.
