Narrative:
Follow me truck guided aircraft to a different ramp location than the one normally used perhaps because of heavy rain. I stopped aircraft and released the parking brake after I received the overhead chocks in hand signal. Completed the parking check and from the corner of my eye noticed the ground marshaller waving his arms and jumping. It took a second or two and I noticed the aircraft rolling backwards. I applied the brakes and the aircraft stopped. No passengers were affected however; the forward flight attendants reported that flight attendant in the aft galley had hurt his knee due to the unexpected sudden stop. I asked him if he required any assistance and he declined. We were told by the ground handling personnel that the ramp is uneven in the area that we were parked in. The flights continued with an outbound delay due to customer service issues with a different pilot crew and same in-flight crew.
