Narrative:
Inbound from ord to brl, commuter pilot on 7/sat/89. We experienced a near miss with a light twin. After receiving a traffic check with company operations and coordinating with other traffic (2 small aircraft) on 123.0, we entered a 15 mi final for runway 18 following the other 2 known aircraft. Visually following the 2ND small aircraft, he did not clear the runway in time for us to land, so we initiated a go around passing through 1200' MSL. The small transport was spotted going from east-west at our altitude. The captain, the PF, dove the aircraft to avoid the midair. The other aircraft did not stray from its course. We attempted radio contact, with no response. It appeared as if he was practicing the VOR 30 approach (1260 MDA) and then performed the missed approach. We reentered a right pattern for 18 landing with no further incident. The aircraft never stated intentions on unicom, and continued this stupidity with other apches. He almost killed us and our passenger.

Title: CLOSE PROX COMMUTER LTT GA-SMT OVER BRL ARPT.
Narrative: INBND FROM ORD TO BRL, COMMUTER PLT ON 7/SAT/89. WE EXPERIENCED A NEAR MISS WITH A LIGHT TWIN. AFTER RECEIVING A TFC CHECK WITH COMPANY OPS AND COORDINATING WITH OTHER TFC (2 SMA) ON 123.0, WE ENTERED A 15 MI FINAL FOR RWY 18 FOLLOWING THE OTHER 2 KNOWN ACFT. VISUALLY FOLLOWING THE 2ND SMA, HE DID NOT CLEAR THE RWY IN TIME FOR US TO LAND, SO WE INITIATED A GO AROUND PASSING THROUGH 1200' MSL. THE SMT WAS SPOTTED GOING FROM EAST-WEST AT OUR ALT. THE CAPT, THE PF, DOVE THE ACFT TO AVOID THE MIDAIR. THE OTHER ACFT DID NOT STRAY FROM ITS COURSE. WE ATTEMPTED RADIO CONTACT, WITH NO RESPONSE. IT APPEARED AS IF HE WAS PRACTICING THE VOR 30 APCH (1260 MDA) AND THEN PERFORMED THE MISSED APCH. WE REENTERED A RIGHT PATTERN FOR 18 LNDG WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT. THE ACFT NEVER STATED INTENTIONS ON UNICOM, AND CONTINUED THIS STUPIDITY WITH OTHER APCHES. HE ALMOST KILLED US AND OUR PAX.
