Narrative:
I was northbound in aircraft X at 2000 under radar services of patrick approach transitioning melbourne control zone along the coastline. The radar controller called traffic (medium large transport aircraft Y) 11 O'clock 7 mi descending for mlb to runway 27L. The medium large transport continued descending and closing from my left side, he was not on my frequency and the controller did not advise me of the medium large transport's intentions. My evasive action was a descending right turn, the medium large transport made a left turn away and continued eastbound for its right turn into runway 27L. Then I continued northbound to cape canaveral. The female controller advised me to go to NASA tower to continue northbound. The controller must have been using dual frequency because on at least 2 occasions she told the medium large transport of my location and intentions.

Title: SMA ON A VFR FLT PLAN ENCOUNTERS AN MLG IN DESCENT FOR LNDG AND HAS AN NMAC. BOTH ACFT UNDER RADAR SERVICES.
Narrative: I WAS NBOUND IN ACFT X AT 2000 UNDER RADAR SERVICES OF PATRICK APCH TRANSITIONING MELBOURNE CTL ZONE ALONG THE COASTLINE. THE RADAR CTLR CALLED TFC (MLG ACFT Y) 11 O'CLOCK 7 MI DESCENDING FOR MLB TO RWY 27L. THE MLG CONTINUED DESCENDING AND CLOSING FROM MY LEFT SIDE, HE WAS NOT ON MY FREQ AND THE CTLR DID NOT ADVISE ME OF THE MLG'S INTENTIONS. MY EVASIVE ACTION WAS A DESCENDING RIGHT TURN, THE MLG MADE A LEFT TURN AWAY AND CONTINUED EBND FOR ITS RIGHT TURN INTO RWY 27L. THEN I CONTINUED NBOUND TO CAPE CANAVERAL. THE FEMALE CTLR ADVISED ME TO GO TO NASA TWR TO CONTINUE NBND. THE CTLR MUST HAVE BEEN USING DUAL FREQ BECAUSE ON AT LEAST 2 OCCASIONS SHE TOLD THE MLG OF MY LOCATION AND INTENTIONS.
