Narrative:
Small transport X on vector (base leg) 230 degree for ILS runway 13L at dallas love field, I was working approximately 5-6 aircraft continuously during period. I had one aircraft call and change his destination and 2 aircraft call for IFR pickups. I was working 2 approach sectors combined with no handoff man. At some point the associated ARTS III data block tag on small transport X dropped. Due to everything happening at once loss of data was not observed. Small transport X, thus out of sight out of mind crossed over dfw airport at 3000' and entered adjacent airspace. 5 mi southwest of dfw small transport X asked if he had been forgotten. My response was yes and requested his position. The pilot laughed. I had to request position again. Pilot responded with position at which time deviation was realized to have occurred. Supervisor was immediately called and notified. In retrospect I point at myself for not doing a better job of being fully aware of every inch of my sector. However being IFR, the supervisor was working other side of room and responded to my call for a supervisor. I was working two approach sector's combined with moderate traffic and complex situation (IFR pickups, change of destination turning final, pointouts etc). No handoff man of supervisor in the area. If only god had made us a more perfect being I probably would have done a more perfect job.

Title: ARTS DATA BLOCK DROPPED AND SMT ENTERED ADJACENT AIRSPACE UNDETECTED.
Narrative: SMT X ON VECTOR (BASE LEG) 230 DEG FOR ILS RWY 13L AT DALLAS LOVE FIELD, I WAS WORKING APPROX 5-6 ACFT CONTINUOUSLY DURING PERIOD. I HAD ONE ACFT CALL AND CHANGE HIS DEST AND 2 ACFT CALL FOR IFR PICKUPS. I WAS WORKING 2 APCH SECTORS COMBINED WITH NO HANDOFF MAN. AT SOME POINT THE ASSOCIATED ARTS III DATA BLOCK TAG ON SMT X DROPPED. DUE TO EVERYTHING HAPPENING AT ONCE LOSS OF DATA WAS NOT OBSERVED. SMT X, THUS OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND CROSSED OVER DFW ARPT AT 3000' AND ENTERED ADJACENT AIRSPACE. 5 MI SW OF DFW SMT X ASKED IF HE HAD BEEN FORGOTTEN. MY RESPONSE WAS YES AND REQUESTED HIS POSITION. THE PLT LAUGHED. I HAD TO REQUEST POSITION AGAIN. PLT RESPONDED WITH POSITION AT WHICH TIME DEVIATION WAS REALIZED TO HAVE OCCURRED. SUPVR WAS IMMEDIATELY CALLED AND NOTIFIED. IN RETROSPECT I POINT AT MYSELF FOR NOT DOING A BETTER JOB OF BEING FULLY AWARE OF EVERY INCH OF MY SECTOR. HOWEVER BEING IFR, THE SUPVR WAS WORKING OTHER SIDE OF ROOM AND RESPONDED TO MY CALL FOR A SUPVR. I WAS WORKING TWO APCH SECTOR'S COMBINED WITH MODERATE TFC AND COMPLEX SITUATION (IFR PICKUPS, CHANGE OF DEST TURNING FINAL, POINTOUTS ETC). NO HANDOFF MAN OF SUPVR IN THE AREA. IF ONLY GOD HAD MADE US A MORE PERFECT BEING I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE DONE A MORE PERFECT JOB.
