Narrative:
Left fox airfield about xx pm on 7/xx/89 for a short flight in the local area in an small aircraft. I made one full stop landing and took off for 1 more landing. On return for landing I felt that something was wrong because as I touched down the aircraft did not feel right, so I did a go around. At this point I retracted the gear and received a gear unsafe indication. I tried to recycle the gear to have a safe indication, but I was unable to. I then requested a visual check on my gear from lancaster FSS who dispatched the ground crew. I was informed that my gear was hanging down but appeared to be broken. I elected to make an emergency landing at plant 42 which resulted in no injuries to me or my passenger. I feel that there might be a problem with the landing gear on the small aircraft, because the left gear on this aircraft also failed in 1986.

Title: GEAR FAILURE ON SMA TWIN.
Narrative: LEFT FOX AIRFIELD ABOUT XX PM ON 7/XX/89 FOR A SHORT FLT IN THE LOCAL AREA IN AN SMA. I MADE ONE FULL STOP LNDG AND TOOK OFF FOR 1 MORE LNDG. ON RETURN FOR LNDG I FELT THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG BECAUSE AS I TOUCHED DOWN THE ACFT DID NOT FEEL RIGHT, SO I DID A GO AROUND. AT THIS POINT I RETRACTED THE GEAR AND RECEIVED A GEAR UNSAFE INDICATION. I TRIED TO RECYCLE THE GEAR TO HAVE A SAFE INDICATION, BUT I WAS UNABLE TO. I THEN REQUESTED A VISUAL CHECK ON MY GEAR FROM LANCASTER FSS WHO DISPATCHED THE GND CREW. I WAS INFORMED THAT MY GEAR WAS HANGING DOWN BUT APPEARED TO BE BROKEN. I ELECTED TO MAKE AN EMER LNDG AT PLANT 42 WHICH RESULTED IN NO INJURIES TO ME OR MY PAX. I FEEL THAT THERE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM WITH THE LNDG GEAR ON THE SMA, BECAUSE THE LEFT GEAR ON THIS ACFT ALSO FAILED IN 1986.
