Narrative:
The 'no smoking' sign was recycled to indicate final descent into bda. I went into the galley to secure and stow all equipment when the aircraft landed. Because I was not given proper notice (normally the 'no smoking' sign is recycled approximately 10 mins out). I was not able to secure the galley for landing and get to my jump seat. Both myself and the first F/a let the cockpit team know of the situation and we were told to complete a NASA form.

Narrative: THE 'NO SMOKING' SIGN WAS RECYCLED TO INDICATE FINAL DSCNT INTO BDA. I WENT INTO THE GALLEY TO SECURE AND STOW ALL EQUIP WHEN THE ACFT LANDED. BECAUSE I WAS NOT GIVEN PROPER NOTICE (NORMALLY THE 'NO SMOKING' SIGN IS RECYCLED APPROX 10 MINS OUT). I WAS NOT ABLE TO SECURE THE GALLEY FOR LNDG AND GET TO MY JUMP SEAT. BOTH MYSELF AND THE FIRST F/A LET THE COCKPIT TEAM KNOW OF THE SITUATION AND WE WERE TOLD TO COMPLETE A NASA FORM.
