Narrative:
During the course of the approach, approach control said to maintain 170 KTS to the outer marker. I inadvertently let the airspeed slip to 150 KTS, at which point the controller asked what our speed was. Basically, I made a mistake. I think if the controller had added the words 'for spacing' after telling me to maintain 170 KTS, it would have not happened, however, it was in no way the controller's fault. No one had to go around, and I believe there was no one else on the approach, because I didn't hear anybody and they kept me on the runway all the way to the end, when I could have cleared the runway much sooner.

Title: FLT CREW OF CORPORATE JET DEVIATES FROM AIRSPEED REQUIRED BY APCH CTLR.
Narrative: DURING THE COURSE OF THE APCH, APCH CTL SAID TO MAINTAIN 170 KTS TO THE OUTER MARKER. I INADVERTENTLY LET THE AIRSPEED SLIP TO 150 KTS, AT WHICH POINT THE CTLR ASKED WHAT OUR SPEED WAS. BASICALLY, I MADE A MISTAKE. I THINK IF THE CTLR HAD ADDED THE WORDS 'FOR SPACING' AFTER TELLING ME TO MAINTAIN 170 KTS, IT WOULD HAVE NOT HAPPENED, HOWEVER, IT WAS IN NO WAY THE CTLR'S FAULT. NO ONE HAD TO GO AROUND, AND I BELIEVE THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE ON THE APCH, BECAUSE I DIDN'T HEAR ANYBODY AND THEY KEPT ME ON THE RWY ALL THE WAY TO THE END, WHEN I COULD HAVE CLRED THE RWY MUCH SOONER.
