Narrative:
While descending on nanci two arrival (just passing ott VOR), cabin pressure control was lost. While aiding my new hire second officer in trying to find the cause of problem, ATC informed us we were drifting towards a restr area. He instructed us to make a hard right turn. We complied. While the primary cause of the course deviation was our pressurization problem I would like to suggest that restr areas be depicted on arrival routes (nanci two in particular) as a further reminder of their existence. The high altitude (jet level) chart of the northeast USA is very congested with airways and the depiction of the aforementioned restr area (R4001 a-b) is very difficult to discern.
