Narrative:
Flight reported stabilizer trim setting outside of the green band. The captain and I referenced the flight manual. Load planning gave the flight a percent mac of 32.5 but did not issue cg values. We were told they do not issue them for the B777. Using the chart in the afm at a weight of 490.0; it would appear the aircraft is in balance the dispatcher was told by the fleet manager that this chart was informational only and had been provided by boeing. Had the green band failed mechanically; this aircraft might have attempted to depart tail heavy. This is an extremely dangerous posture. Please remove the chart as soon as possible before a serious accident occurs. At a percent mac of 32.5 this aircraft was out of balance but you would not know it from the attached chart.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A B777 weight and balance did not include a CG value for the 32.5 percent MAC so the Captain and Dispatcher questioned the Load Planner because the takeoff STAB TRIM was outside the GREEN BAND. An informational chart on the aircraft erroneously indicated the aircraft in trim; when it was actually tail heavy.
