Narrative:
At las we were given instruction to line up and wait by ATC on runway 7L at foxtrot which is the beginning of the displaced threshold. Another aircraft was also cleared line up and wait on 7L at alpha 8 intersection. The aircraft on 7L at alpha 8 intersection was cleared for takeoff. We were given an unusual instruction to taxi slowly up to taxiway delta on runway 7L and we would probably be cleared for takeoff before we got there. The controller said that we had the same initial fix as the aircraft that took off at alpha 8. While taxiing I noticed an aircraft on short final for runway 1 right that we were never informed of. I said 'stop there is a plane on short final'. We held short of 1 right for a few seconds at which time the tower cleared us for immediate takeoff from present position. Nonstandard procedures from ATC caused confusion.

Title: While lined up and waiting on Runway 7L at LAS Tower cleared an EMB-135 to taxi forward to A-8. As they approached Runway 1R the First Officer noted traffic on short final and shouted a warning to the Captain who managed to stop in a timely fashion.
