Narrative:
I am a full performance level controller at the akron-canton regional airport. I was working arrival/departure radar west at approximately XA04Z when an small transport X was wbound IFR at 8000. At the same time cga Y departed bjj climbing to 3000 in a left turn to heading 180. He was radar identified 2 mi southwest of bjj and climbed to 8000. At approximately XA06Z. Cga Y was instructed to turn left direct akron VOR. At approximately XA07Z small transport X was instructed to turn left immediately heading 180 so as to maintain separation. At XA36, approximately 10 mi southwest of bjj, the aircraft passed 2 mi horizontally at the same altitude.
