Narrative:
During takeoff roll; the captain advanced the throttles and selected the takeoff button to get takeoff thrust. The power advanced; but at a very slow rate. The thrust would not advance to take-off thrust. The captain selected the thrust button again with no change in thrust. We aborted take-off at approximately 135 knots. The aircraft was safely stopped on the runway and returned to the gate without incident.
