Narrative:
We were cleared for takeoff at bhm after calling for gear retraction and starting rotation to climb attitude, I saw an small aircraft at my 11:30 position and approximately 100' above and 200' horizontal distance. He was traveling south and our takeoff was to the northeast. I leveled the aircraft at about 200' AGL to avoid a collision. The small aircraft never saw us and tower never advised us of the aircraft. At the closest point the small aircraft was about 100' away. Tower advised us that it did not know that the aircraft was at that position. The active runways were 5 and 36. If evasive action had not been taken I am sure a collision would have happened.

Title: NMAC WITHIN THE ATA BETWEEN ACR ON TKOF AND NORAC SMA UNKNOWN VFR TRAFFIC AT 300' AGL AS CROSSING TRAFFIC.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF AT BHM AFTER CALLING FOR GEAR RETRACTION AND STARTING ROTATION TO CLIMB ATTITUDE, I SAW AN SMA AT MY 11:30 POSITION AND APPROX 100' ABOVE AND 200' HORIZONTAL DISTANCE. HE WAS TRAVELING S AND OUR TKOF WAS TO THE NE. I LEVELED THE ACFT AT ABOUT 200' AGL TO AVOID A COLLISION. THE SMA NEVER SAW US AND TWR NEVER ADVISED US OF THE ACFT. AT THE CLOSEST POINT THE SMA WAS ABOUT 100' AWAY. TWR ADVISED US THAT IT DID NOT KNOW THAT THE ACFT WAS AT THAT POSITION. THE ACTIVE RWYS WERE 5 AND 36. IF EVASIVE ACTION HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN I AM SURE A COLLISION WOULD HAVE HAPPENED.
