Narrative:
We were cleared for takeoff behind a 767 and on the roll I felt some residual wake buffeting. It distracted me into preparing for a wake encounter airborne. This distraction took my attention away from following the SID vectors; heading 190 and then 220 out of 2.3 DME. I purposely started the first turn slowly behind the 767 and didn't initiate the proper procedure in due course.
