Narrative:
On visual approach at sfo runway 28L when throttles were retarded for landing, I noticed aircraft yaw, then observed that right torque gauge read 1000 pounds torque cross checked with right N1 gauge it read 90 percent N1. Executed a go-around advised tower of the problem. Then once in level flight downwind analyzed problem and shut down right engine and secured right engine. Made single engine approach and landing. Maintenance is correcting problem, aircraft was grounded. All procedures were executed as per operations manual and aircraft flight standards manual.
