Narrative:
We were from sju to bgi and came within 2-3 mi of air carrier Y at FL330. We were at FL330 assigned proceeding southeasterly on A-555 when we reported iluri intersection to piarco ATC. Since it is a non-radar environment, full position reporting procedures were accomplished. About 2-3 mi northwest of dunta intersection the captain called my attention to traffic at 10-11 O'clock. He began a turn to the right as it seemed there may be a conflict. The traffic passed in front of us right to left at FL330. After repeated calls to piarco center (3-5 calls) we confirmed that the other aircraft was at FL330 also. He was northeast bound on A-550. About 20 seconds after air carrier Y passed across our bow, we hit his wake turbulence. About 1-2 mins after the incident piarco ordered us to descend immediately to FL310. Contributing factors: 1) piarco did not issue any traffic advisories to either aircraft. 2) piarco ATC was very distracted with another aircraft throughout this incident. Since they were speaking spanish, were unable to determine the nature of this distraction. 3) dunta intersection is not a required reporting point on either A-555 or ua-550. Hence, it is very difficult to clear for approaching traffic using radio reports.

Title: ACR OBSERVED ANOTHER ACR AT SAME ALT IN CLOSE PROX.
Narrative: WE WERE FROM SJU TO BGI AND CAME WITHIN 2-3 MI OF ACR Y AT FL330. WE WERE AT FL330 ASSIGNED PROCEEDING SOUTHEASTERLY ON A-555 WHEN WE REPORTED ILURI INTXN TO PIARCO ATC. SINCE IT IS A NON-RADAR ENVIRONMENT, FULL POSITION REPORTING PROCS WERE ACCOMPLISHED. ABOUT 2-3 MI NW OF DUNTA INTXN THE CAPT CALLED MY ATTN TO TFC AT 10-11 O'CLOCK. HE BEGAN A TURN TO THE RIGHT AS IT SEEMED THERE MAY BE A CONFLICT. THE TFC PASSED IN FRONT OF US RIGHT TO LEFT AT FL330. AFTER REPEATED CALLS TO PIARCO CENTER (3-5 CALLS) WE CONFIRMED THAT THE OTHER ACFT WAS AT FL330 ALSO. HE WAS NE BOUND ON A-550. ABOUT 20 SECONDS AFTER ACR Y PASSED ACROSS OUR BOW, WE HIT HIS WAKE TURBULENCE. ABOUT 1-2 MINS AFTER THE INCIDENT PIARCO ORDERED US TO DSND IMMEDIATELY TO FL310. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: 1) PIARCO DID NOT ISSUE ANY TFC ADVISORIES TO EITHER ACFT. 2) PIARCO ATC WAS VERY DISTRACTED WITH ANOTHER ACFT THROUGHOUT THIS INCIDENT. SINCE THEY WERE SPEAKING SPANISH, WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE NATURE OF THIS DISTR. 3) DUNTA INTXN IS NOT A REQUIRED REPORTING POINT ON EITHER A-555 OR UA-550. HENCE, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO CLEAR FOR APCHING TFC USING RADIO REPORTS.
